Ukrainian Summer

Planning to travel to Ukraine for the summer? We advise to book accommodation as early as possible especially if you are travelling to Yalta or Odesa. The Summer months in Ukraine are the busiest time for the local tour operators and accommodation is limited.

Stay in the two story modern brick cottage home situated in the old Cossack township of Opishne situated 40km north from my home town Poltava. Your host family is young professional couple with two school age daughters. They are very hospitable people and will invite you into their home to enjoy a relaxing and memorable time. Children are also welcome to stay.

The village of Opishne has over 700 years of written history with earlier ancient archaeological sites of pre-Mongolian nomadic cities surrounding the area.

What to do:

Visit workshops of the local artists and potters and try to make your very own artistic pottery.
Enjoy tasteful exhibitions of traditional pottery art and crafts in the National Park-Museum of the Ceramic Art of Ukraine
Enjoy organically grown local fruit and vegetables
